Hero
An animated travel hero with oversized typography, layered landscape photos, and hand-drawn sketch reveals on a soft blue paper background.
FIELDNOTES is an animated travel hero section that pairs oversized Classic Quality typography with layered landscape photography and playful hand-drawn reveals. A mist-blue paper background and deep navy text create a calm, editorial feel around the headline, “Discovering the quieter world.”
Three overlapping photo cards cycle through nine mountain, forest, desert, and coastal images. Staggered shrinking and expanding transitions reveal illustrated characters behind the photographs, adding a distinctive sketchbook quality to the composition.
The design includes a two-line headline, decorative asterisks, and a bordered caption panel. Responsive layouts adapt the composition for desktop and mobile, while pause/play controls and reduced-motion support give visitors control over the animation.
Built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, FIELDNOTES suits travel journals, photography portfolios, outdoor brands, and creative storytelling websites.
